The
Type-S system was developed to offer a higher degree
of stability for the neck and shoulders. It feature
the same easy-to-use Uni-frame technology, with a
reloadable plastic or carbon fiber frame and a
continuous sheet of perforated thermoplastic that
encompasses the head, neck, and shoulders. The
baseplate is a carbon fiber grid that extends off
the end of your simulator or treatment couch.
Attenuation through the
carbon fiber base and treatment grid is minimal and
portal image friendly. Ideal for stereotactic and
conformal treatments in a 3600 arc.
The
Type-S baseplate features locking pins to lock down
the thermoplastic frame.
Also available:
head-only thermoplastic frames/masks (shown below).
For added stability,
you can use our exclusive McLaurin Arch with the
bite block or nasium interface. If you have an
Indexed Patient Positioning system such as Exact or
Interloc (see p51), the Type-S baseplate can be
locked to your simulator, CT and treatment couchtops
for precise and reproducible setups from simulation
through delivery. |
